Mission Statement
The mission of the University of Georgia's Public Safety Division is to provide a safe environment for an academic community. The Public Safety Division will endeavor to preserve an environment where diverse social, cultural, and academic values are allowed to prosper. The Universitys mission of teaching, research, and service are dependent on a partnership between the Public Safety Division and the academic community in the enforcement of State and Federal laws. The Public Safety Division is committed to the daily mission of fostering compliance of University rules and regulations within the University community. The Public Safety Division must encourage a sense of community concern for the safety of others and respect for the needs and rights of faculty, staff, students, and visitors.
