The University of Georgia Police Department reports an armed robbery that occurred between 1:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on August 19, 2006 in the Baptist Student Union parking lot. A male student reported that as he was walking he was approached by a black male with a knife who demanded his wallet. No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5′08″ to 5′09″ in height, medium build, in his mid 20’s, with short hair in an afro style, mustache, goatee, and wearing dark shoes, a black shirt, baggy jeans and a silver chain. The suspect was armed with a knife.

Anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident, or anyone with any information about this incident, is asked to please call the University of Georgia Police Department at 706/542-2200.
